Consumer rights statement

As a consumer, you have certain rights under consumer protection legislation, including the Australian Consumer Law (consumer rights).  Your consumer rights include statutory guarantees that any products supplied to you will be of acceptable quality, match their description and be fit for any purpose made known to the supplier, and that any services supplied will be carried out with reasonable care and skill (“Statutory Guarantees”).  When a Statutory Guarantee is breached, consumers are entitled to a range of remedies including, in some cases, damages for reasonably foreseeable losses.  Manufacturers of goods also have an obligation to compensate consumers for loss or damage if the consumer is injured or consumer goods are damaged due to a safety defect in goods supplied.  For more information on your consumer rights, you can visit the Australian competition and consumer commission's website at

Nothing in these terms of use is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any of your consumer rights.  However, if the Statutory Guarantees apply, to the extent to which we are entitled to do so, we limit our liability in respect of any claim for a breach of a Statutory Guarantee to:

  • in the case of goods, at our option:
    • the replacement of the goods or the supply of equivalent goods
    • the repair of the goods;
    • the payment of the cost of replacing the goods or acquiring equivalent goods; or
    • the payment of having the goods repaired; and
  • in the case of services, at our option:
    • the supply of the services again; or
    • the payment of the cost of having the services supplied again.

These terms of use only apply to consumers and do not apply to retailers or business owners/businesses.

How it works

Once you have ordered and paid for your goods at, you will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your online payment, details of your order and delivery, provided that you submitted a correct e-mail address when placing your order. We cannot guarantee that all the goods ordered are available in our inventory at all times but we will ship them as soon as possible.

If you have requested delivery to a different address, prices will not be included on the in-parcel receipt since we assume that the delivery is a gift to the recipient. Your pricing information will however be included on your order receipt e-mail.

If you register to form an account with us you must:

  • provide accurate and complete information when registering your account;
  • update all of your details regularly;
  • keep your login and password details confidential; and
  • immediately notify us if you become aware of any unauthorised  access to or use of your account.

You acknowledge that you are responsible for all use of your log-in and password details whether authorised by you or not.

Order details etc.

We encourage you to print or save a copy of these terms of use, your payment information for paying online and shipping confirmation e-mail immediately upon receipt, in case you need to contact us with any questions about your order. If you notice that any of the information e-mailed to you is incorrect, please contact us immediately so that we can correct it.


All prices are stated inclusive of all applicable taxes. The price applicable is the price set out next to the product in question on the website on the date of ordering. While we try to ensure that all prices on our website are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund. Delivery charges are set out in the section Shipping and Handling.

Portrayal of products

While every effort has been made to portray products accurately, slight variations may occur. All measurements quoted are approximate and the reproduction of colours is as accurate as photographic and publishing processes will allow. Please note there may be variations in colours dependent on the calibration and settings of individual screens. We make reservations for any typing errors which may occur on the website.

The card security code is a unique three-digit number on the back (Visa/MasterCard) or four-digit number on the front (American Express) of your card.

Australia Post eParcel Standard Shipping

Standard shipping for orders placed on is by the Australia Post E Parcel system. Delivery time estimates apply to in-stock items, exclude the one business day order processing time and are subject to carrier delay outside our control. If you are not available to accept your delivery the E Parcel service provides for a card to be left advising you of the attempted delivery and the order will be left at your nearest post office for you to collect.

Returns Policy

If you are unhappy with your Bang & Olufsen or B&O PLAY product, or it is not performing as you think it should, you may have rights to return the product under:

Manufacturer’s Warranty

Your Bang & Olufsen and B&O PLAY product comes with a Manufacturer's Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

The Supplier's Returns Policy

If you purchased your Bang & Olufsen or B&O PLAY product from a Bang & Olufsen Store or authorised reseller, you may also have rights to return the product to that supplier under the supplier's returns policy.  Please speak to the supplier from whom you purchased your product from for further details.

The Australian Consumer Law

The product return rights given to you under the Manufacturer's Warranty, and any supplier returns policy are additional to your rights to return products to the manufacturer or supplier (as relevant) under the Australian Consumer Law.  For more information regarding your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, you can visit the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's website at
